OrmLite 10.4
Automatic retries on errors

Resilient Retries and Read Replicas in OrmLite

ServiceStack v10.4 lets OrmLite retry temporary database errors such as deadlocks, throttling and failovers through a single configuration line. It also adds read replica support, with read-only connections that reject writes even on the primary so replica bugs surface during development. Both features matter for any .NET app that talks to a database under load.

Vector search in your database

Vector search comes to OrmLite with ServiceStack v10.4 embedding columns

ServiceStack v10.4 adds a [Vector] attribute to OrmLite, so embeddings from an AI model can be stored with your rows. Distance functions such as Sql.CosineDistance() combine with filters, joins and tenant rules in one typed query. For .NET developers building RAG features, this removes the need for a separate vector store to keep in sync.

OrmLite v10.4
Typed JSON queries

OrmLite now queries JSON properties like any other property

ServiceStack v10.4 lets typed OrmLite queries reach into complex properties such as x.Address.City or x.Lines.Any(...). The expressions are translated to the native JSON functions of SQLite, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and MySQL, so one query works across all four. This removes the need for Sql.Json() wrappers on complex properties.

OrmLite v10.4
Typed complex queries

OrmLite v10.4 adds typed recursive, window and combined queries

ServiceStack v10.4 brings typed support to OrmLite for recursive hierarchies, named sub queries, window functions, set operations and keyset paging. These queries used to need hand-written SQL, and now they stay parameterized and composable with your existing filters and joins. The post walks through each feature with examples and the SQL they generate.
